Meet Mickey

Hello! My name is Mickey Friedrich. My wife, Jessica, and I both grew up in western Oklahoma, and that’s where we were married in 2005. We have four children (two through adoption and two the old fashioned way) – Mela, Bey, Knox, and Goldie. We enjoy all things outdoors and playing many sports together, but one of our favorite things is to get away to the mountains each summer. I am an engineer by training and balance my time between my career in oil and gas and serving the body at Watermark.

I came to know Christ at an early age, but in high school and college I had to learn the hard way the lesson of Proverbs 14:12 - “There is a way that seems right to man, but it’s end is the way to death.” I can say from experience the words of Peter in Acts 4: “This Jesus... there is life in no one [and nothing] else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Jess and I have been members at Watermark since 2009 and really fell in love with the church as we served together in ReEngage and as we mentored through Mercy Street. Not only is it a joy for us to get to serve side by side, it is amazing to see the life change happening every week right in front of us. I am also thankful for the men I’ve been able to watch who model so well what faithfulness as husbands and businessmen look like. Our God is living and active, and may we each be one more example of how He makes all things new!
