I grew up in Arlington, Texas, with a fantastic family including a faithful mom and dad and two siblings. I dreamt of running track and field in college and attended Texas A&M University. After deciding to trust Jesus as my Savior at 12 years old, I seriously started following Him while at Texas A&M. I realized I looked for acceptance and approval in all the wrong places – sports, achievement, volunteering, relationships, and reputation. My life was changed by God’s word (initially by studying the book of Galatians!), His people, and prayer, and I found full freedom and life in Christ.
Since graduating college, God has continued to show me how the Gospel and disciple making can happen through the business marketplace. I have a deep passion and desire to transform the economic welfare of our community with the Watermark Community Development Corporation as we seek to be and make disciples in Dallas and beyond.
Aside from following Jesus, my greatest privilege and honor is being married to Kelsey. We met in college while working as counselors at Kanakuk Kamps and love being best friends. She is a thoughtful, faithful, and FUN teammate. We are raising three sons – Cade, Wyatt, and Rhett. We love to spend time with family and friends, play sports outside, try new restaurants, and adventure in Dallas and beyond together.
