I grew up in the heartland of America, in the most spectacular suburbia to ever grace the land – Mansfield, Texas. My parents raised my brother (Matt) and me to love the Lord and walk in his ways. Yet, though I truly believed, my childhood and adolescence were marked by long seasons of apathy, confusion, and sin. Still, God was patient with me. Slowly (and, most notably during my time at Baylor University), he opened my eyes to the vast implications of grace. Sin and shame were not the end of the story.
In the fall of 2019, I arrived at Watermark to go through the Institute. This started a two-year stint with Watermark College, followed by two years with the Pastoral Care team. Now, I have the distinct privilege of serving with the Community Formation team, working to help people find and form community groups.
God graciously gave me the joy of marrying Lois Wilkie, who also serves on Watermark’s staff. Lois kindly shares my time and attention with good books, good coffee, and the Green Bay Packers.
