Meet Markus

I was born and raised in Vienna, Austria. If you ever hear me speak, that is where the weird accent is from. I moved to Texas in 2006 and married my wife Mary Kay shortly after. After some hard years and doing my share of running away from God, which included me almost walking out on my marriage, He saved me on May 30th, 2015. I finally understood what the Gospel meant, and I could not resist any longer. Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10;9-10.

For the last 5 years we have been faithfully serving in re|engage. In 2020 I was accepted into the Watermark Institute. I ended my career in the restaurant business where I was over 13 years. After I finished the Institute, the Lord graciously allowed me to join the married community team here on staff at Watermark.
Only by God’s grace I get to do what I love to do: Love other people and share the good news, THE GOSPEL, with others.
