I grew up in Norman, Oklahoma (BOOMER!), and moved to Dallas after I graduated high school. I grew up in the church but did not trust Christ as my savior until the summer after my freshman year of high school at a summer camp. It was there that I heard the Gospel preached with passion and conviction for the first time, and it rocked my world. It wasn’t until I came to Watermark in 2004, however, that I began to understand how crucial community and discipleship were to my walk with Christ.I am passionate about leading worship through music and have had the opportunity to do that over the last decade vocationally as a drummer. I’m thrilled to be serving on our Tech Arts team because more than anything I am passionate about playing any role that the Lord would allow me to play in accomplishing His purposes. He’s doing some incredible things here at Watermark, and more often than not, they require a working microphone! What a privilege it is to support the team here day in and day out.
My wife, SarahBeth, and I got married in 2009 and adopted two amazing little boys. Seeing God’s story for our family unfold in the most wonderfully unexpected way over the years has been one of my greatest joys. I am passionate about aviation and achieved a life goal of earning my pilot’s license in 2007. Every now and then I get to change sides of the microphone and play in the worship band for our weekend services. It is such a gift to lead this body in worship and to play any role at all in what God is doing at Watermark and in this city.
