Elissa Massey

Meet Elissa

I'm a born and raised resident of Dallas, who took a four year pause to attend the University of Arkansas for a degree in Communication and Event Management and had the opportunity to resume life in Dallas by joining staff after graduation.

I accepted God into my heart in 2005 in the back seat of my mom’s van on the way home from a church event, but it wasn’t until 2016 that I realized that I am a sinner in desperate need of a Savior! After deciding to begin the journey of fully surrendering my life to the Lord, I became a member at Watermark and began serving with Kaleidoscope, Shoreline, and any mission trip opportunity I could attend. This led to an internship with the high school ministry, Shoreline, through which the Lord affirmed the call He had on my life to live a life on mission and to seek a ministry related job once completing a college degree.

In the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to join the Communications team in a part-time assistant role with Join the Journey. I had no idea that the Lord could use that experience to pave the way for me to join staff in May 2023!

I love all things coffee, traveling, thrifting, being outside, Tex-Mex and spending time with family and friends. I am so grateful to get to help others in such a unique way in this role to serve a wider purpose of pointing people to Jesus!
